Its
time to volunteer to help sell Christmas trees again this
year! This sale is our major fund- and friend-raiser for the
year. We count on you, our beloved volunteers to help make
this sale a success. The sale will run from December 2 to
18. Well have two lots again this year (Safeway lot at
82nd and East Burnside, and Value Village lot at
NE 44th and Hancock). We have new shift hours,
which will make for fewer shifts to fill over the course of
the sale; they are: 2:30-5:30 p.m. and 5:30-8:30 p.m. on
weekdays and 10:00-1:00, 1:00-4:00, and 4:00-7:00 on
weekends. ALL WE ASK IS THREE HOURS OF YOUR TIME.
Please call (503-251-6901) or email
(mail@larche-portland.org) and let us know when you can
help. And please recruit volunteers by asking your friends,
your neighbors, your co-workers, and your church group to
help us out. Thank you!! You're the greatest!

"Communities are truly communities when they are open to others, when they remain vulnerable and humble; when the members are growing in love, in compassion and in humility. Communities cease to be such when members close in upon themselves with the certitude that they alone have wisdom and truth and expect everyone to be like them and learn from them." Jean Vanier, Community and Growth |
