NEWS
The Secret of L'Arche Nehalem

A Community Retreat -- Sunday, April 25, 1-4pm

Neahkahnie House (8501 SE Stephens St.)

There will be an optional luncheon from noon to 1.

We need your memories, wisdom, predictions, comments, sense of humor, concerns, discerning mind and heart, experience, faith, realism, common sense, savvy, and, above all, your love of L'Arche Nehalem for an afternoon of prayer, sharing, stories, and discernment as together we search for the secret of L'Arche Nehalem.

This is part of L'Arche International's three-year worldwide Identity and Mission process as the L'Arche movement, at age 40, looks at where it has been and where God is calling it in the future. In this phase, we are especially looking at ways our community is called to grow, what might be different or how we might live our vision of L'Arche better and more fully. We need everybody for this process&emdash;every heart, every mind, and every voice, so please come

Any questions? Call Mary Ann or Amy at the office (503 251-6901).

WISH LIST

The particular suffering of the person [with developmental disability], as of all marginal people, is a feeling of being excluded, worthless and unloved. It is through everyday life in community and the love that must be incarnate in this, that [people with disability] can begin to discover that they have a value, that they are loved and so are lovable.
