Our mission is to create a place to call home for people with developmental disabilities and those who share life with them.

NEWS

Coffee Morning at Neahkahnie House

Saturday, August 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., come and enjoy a summer morning at L'Arche Nehalem. Spend time with our core members, meet our new assistants, reconnect with other extended Nehalem community members. Bring a friend and introduce them to the community--it's a great way to help us help more people learn about L'Arche.

L'Arche and Faith and Light are founded on pain. We are called to welcome those who suffer from rejection and disabilities, to create community together with the strong and the weak, communities of faith, and thus be a sign for our world. We will always be fragile communities. We are learning to live together with the pain, to welcome it, accept it, and to respond to it, to change pain into joy and to make it prayer.
