NEWS
Coffee Morning at Neahkahnie
House Saturday, August 20, from 10 a.m. to 12
p.m., come and enjoy a summer morning at L'Arche Nehalem.
Spend time with our core members, meet our new assistants,
reconnect with other extended Nehalem community members.
Bring a friend and introduce them to the community--it's a
great way to help us help more people learn about
L'Arche.
Jeff Deeks sister, Ellen Dimm, is continuing to help Jeff plan for his move to a supported living situation. They are looking for an apartment near the community so Jeff can continue to participate in LArche as an extended community member. The hope is to have things in place for a September move.
We are in the process of identifying a new core member to live in our community. Please pray for all involved in discerning who is being called to join us at Nehalem House.
We are still accepting applications if you know of anyone who might want to apply.

L'Arche and Faith and Light are founded on pain. We are called to welcome those who suffer from rejection and disabilities, to create community together with the strong and the weak, communities of faith, and thus be a sign for our world. We will always be fragile communities. We are learning to live together with the pain, to welcome it, accept it, and to respond to it, to change pain into joy and to make it prayer.
