DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us this spring as we are re-start a rhythm of monthly Spirituality nights at Neahkahnie House! \nYou can save the dates on your calendar – every first Thursday! \nWe will start with a Potluck dinner\, then gather around some candles in the living room to form a Circle of Light. \nThis will be a simple time of singing\, reflection on a reading or image\, and time for folks to share prayers aloud. \nThis month\, we will be practicing the awkward-but-meaningful tradition of foot washing. \n…Foot washing is a L’Arche tradition that helps us reflect on the ways we mutually serve one another each day. It is also a tradition practiced in the Christian Church during Holy Week\, to remember how Jesus modeled and called others to humble service. \n…No one is required to have their own feet washed. We’re celebrating Spring in some fun ways this year – including our annual L’Arche@UP / REX Spring Picnic!  \nUniversity of Portland students are donating meal points to help provide some yummy free box lunches for us :) \nWe’ll have plenty of time to mingle and reconnect\, along with some outdoor games\, and a moment to hear from a couple of volunteers about why they love their relationship with L’Arche. \nFor lunch\, we’ll gather at Saint Mary’s Lounge on the University of Portland campus (5000 North Willamette Blvd). Map below for directions to parking and drop-off spots. \nBest Trimet Lift drop-off spot is at Pilot House.
