Revitalizing Our Homes

This year brought transformative updates to our homes, driven by the generosity of our donors and the unwavering support of our community.

This summer, Neahkahnie House underwent a major kitchen renovation. After three decades—over 11,000 family dinners, daily meals, and countless celebrations—the kitchen was overdue for a refresh. Thanks to the amazing community support, our dream kitchen became a reality. The new kitchen was designed with the needs of our home in mind, to be a welcoming space for cooking, gathering, and sharing everyday life together. The heart of Neahkahnie House has truly become a beautiful center for community and connection.

Last month, Gabriel House replaced its worn and decaying wooden ramp and front porch. The newly constructed porch and ramp are now safe, accessible, and welcoming to all. The project was made possible through partnership with In Your Home and support of the Robert & Mary Jane Smith Foundation.

We are so grateful for the generosity that made these much-needed improvements possible in our homes. These upgrades ensure our spaces remain safe, welcoming, and vibrant for everyone — today and for years to come.
